If Hannes Strömberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomas Bergsten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hannes Strömberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute Sven-Erik Löv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Nyström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thor Busk got free with Karl-Erik Nyström in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 17 minutes into the match, Borlänge's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Nyström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thor Busk. After a rather tough play, Borlänge's Per Fredriksson got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 20th minute, Casper Sundling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Wik in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Bergsten saved Arboga FF from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Richard Wik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borlänge's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Wik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Bergsten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thomas Bergsten stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hannes Strömberg's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Richard Wik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Thomas Bergsten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34 minutes of play, Borlänge's Richard Wik made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thomas Bergsten was left in no man's land by his defense there! 37 minutes into the match, Arboga FF's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Wik came free, but Thomas Bergsten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Wik in the 47th minute of play forced Arboga FF's goalkeeper Thomas Bergsten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven-Erik Löv was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute Thor Busk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Erik Nyström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 minutes of play Arboga FF's Bertil Sigfridsson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. If Richard Wik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd match minute, Arboga FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thor Busk to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Arboga FF's Thomas Bergsten got control of the ball when Richard Wik tried to sneak it across the goal line.
