Spectators: 7147 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. With a left leg Michael Ahlrot saved Degerhamn from getting behind. When Sonny Käller came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Degerhamn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sonny Käller couldn't finish the play. Nils Örtendahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sonny Käller in the 19th minute. Lyrestad's Nils Örtendahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Lyrestad from getting a goal against them. Nils Örtendahl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sonny Käller's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Sonny Käller put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nils Örtendahl. Sonny Käller who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Nils Örtendahl when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Sonny Käller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nils Örtendahl was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Michael Ahlrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Forsberg in the 40th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sonny Käller to strike the kick off in the second half. The Lyrestad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Sonny Käller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Malcolm Back managed to get in a good position for a shot. Degerhamn's supporters rose to their feet, but Malcolm Back was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils Örtendahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 86 played minutes Degerhamn got a freekick which was hit by Viggo Björkdal. A hard shot by Thomas Lindqvist from long distance, 87 minutes into the match, got Michael Ahlrot's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 89th minute, Sonny Käller made a precise shot to the right of Nils Örtendahl. Lyrestad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 93rdth minute of the game Sonny Käller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lyrestad's Nils Örtendahl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the Degerhamn players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
