Spectators: 7304 (Terracing: 5479, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fabian Jönsson kicked off to start the match. Jan-Olof Örtendal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Jönsson in the 4th minute of the match. Bo-Erik Ekström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Mikael Qvalfeldt made a huge save. In the 9th minute Fabian Jönsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Olof Örtendal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Tällberg booed when SpVgg Sauerkraut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tord Almkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils-Åke Fågel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jan-Olof Örtendal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, SpVgg Sauerkraut's goal looked a bit too open when Nils-Åke Fågel came free, but Jan-Olof Örtendal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Bertil Åkerström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SpVgg Sauerkraut's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertil Åkerström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Fabian Jönsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tällberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Jönsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Olof Örtendal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan-Olof Örtendal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Jönsson in the 25th minute of play. Egon Carlsson's late challenge caught a Tällberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egon Carlsson helped the player get up and apologised. Egon Carlsson kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. If Bo-Erik Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertil Åkerström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Mikael Qvalfeldt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Bertil Åkerström fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertil Åkerström made a kick off. Mikael Qvalfeldt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Åkerström in the 53rd minute of play. Ingvar Klack hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Jan-Olof Örtendal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Jönsson in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Tällberg booed when SpVgg Sauerkraut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tord Almkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils-Åke Fågel scored 0-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Olof Örtendal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of SpVgg Sauerkraut booed when Tällberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stellan Unesson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Bertil Åkerström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mikael Qvalfeldt was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Jan-Olof Örtendal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Jönsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Nils-Åke Fågel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 86 played minutes SpVgg Sauerkraut got a freekick which was hit by David Asplund. Nils-Åke Fågel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Olof Örtendal having to interfere. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tällberg! In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for SpVgg Sauerkraut. Valdemar Linquist stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mikael Qvalfeldt. 1-2. Bertil Åkerström took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mikael Qvalfeldt. Mikael Qvalfeldt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
