After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Evert Sjöö managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oskarshamns AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Evert Sjöö was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olov Ahlberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ulf Odman came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Oskarshamns AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulf Odman couldn't finish the play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfons Bogren to strike the kick off in the second half. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fredhälls IF reached it. Olof Kjellman might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egon Söderström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
