Evert Sjöö's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mats Hedberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Ulf Odman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th play minute Ulf Odman came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mats Hedberg. 1-0. Ballingslöv BK's Mats Hedberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Ballingslöv BK from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ballingslöv BK booed when Oskarshamns AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Albom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evert Sjöö struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Mats Hedberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oskarshamns AIK. The crowd rose to their feet as Oskarshamns AIK's Evert Sjöö slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mats Hedberg. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. After 29 minutes, Kåre Almkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballingslöv BK and the Oskarshamns AIK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Oskarshamns AIK booed when Ballingslöv BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kåre Almkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evert Sjöö was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Egon Söderström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Helberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Einar Berg kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Nils Helberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Söderström having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evert Sjöö to make the kick off. Oskarshamns AIK's Egon Söderström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andréas Stensson in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Ballingslöv BK defense, Evert Sjöö kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mats Hedberg. The Ballingslöv BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mats Hedberg should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 62 minutes, Egon Söderström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Evert Sjöö scored 5-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mats Hedberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th match minute, Oskarshamns AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Einar Berg to maneuver through the defense. Stig Haström struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. But to his dismay, Evert Sjöö quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Mats Hedberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulf Odman went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. In the 82nd minute, Ulf Odman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stig Haström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evert Sjöö received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Mats Hedberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
