The Fredhälls IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. SpVgg Sauerkraut's Jan-Olof Örtendal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Kjellman in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, SpVgg Sauerkraut's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Bogren came free, but Jan-Olof Örtendal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olov Ahlberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bo-Erik Ekström went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 37 minutes of play Fredhälls IF's Folke Åström was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 38 played minutes Fredhälls IF got a freekick which was hit by Folke Åström. If Bo-Erik Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Olof Kjellman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fredhälls IF's Olov Ahlberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Fredhälls IF from getting a goal against them.
