Max Sigfridsson kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ballingslöv BK's Håkan Jansson got a free kick in the 6th minute. If Bo-Erik Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute Bertil Åkerström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mats Hedberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig Haström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Olof Örtendal having to interfere. Mats Hedberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bertil Åkerström went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bertil Åkerström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mats Hedberg having to make a save. SpVgg Sauerkraut's Jan-Olof Örtendal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig Haström in the 45th minute of play. After the first half SpVgg Sauerkraut were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Stig Haström made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Ballingslöv BK's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Åkerström came free, but Mats Hedberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 played minutes SpVgg Sauerkraut got a freekick which was hit by David Asplund. Nils Helberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan-Olof Örtendal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Haström in the 75th minute of play. Mats Hedberg made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Bo-Erik Ekström sent off a good shot on target. Bo-Erik Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats Hedberg having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Bo-Erik Ekström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mats Hedberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SpVgg Sauerkraut walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
