Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Matthias Örn kicked off to start the match. The supporters of IFK Strömstad booed when Glommen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Smitt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Strömstad's zone, Matthias Örn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arvin Holmgren came out of the goal and Matthias Örn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matthias Örn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Arvin Holmgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Qvarnström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Drewitz having to interfere. Josef Jonsson charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josef Jonsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Josef Jonsson hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Arvin Holmgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthias Örn, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Glommen's goalkeeper Kurt Drewitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Glommen's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Qvarnström came free, but Kurt Drewitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Matthias Örn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Qvarnström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Drewitz having to interfere. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Glommen's goalkeeper Kurt Drewitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Glommen's Elliot Ålberg got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Sven-Erik Eskilsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Arvin Holmgren made a huge save. 38 minutes in the game, Matthias Örn fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Arvin Holmgren having to interfere. Samuel Hjelm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Drewitz having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Matthias Örn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
IFK Strömstad's Arvin Holmgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Erik Eskilsson in the 51st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Matthias Örn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glommen's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthias Örn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arvin Holmgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sven-Erik Eskilsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arvin Holmgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Matthias Örn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arvin Holmgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Alfred Qvarnström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Hjelm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, IFK Strömstad's Gert Engström got a free kick in the 79th minute. Glommen's Sven-Erik Eskilsson got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Bergström during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86thth minute of the game Sven-Erik Eskilsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IFK Strömstad's Arvin Holmgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kurt Drewitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Qvarnström, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Matthias Örn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Matthias Örn came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Glommen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthias Örn couldn't finish the play. Sven-Erik Eskilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glommen's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
