But to his dismay, Eric Dalberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After having played for 49 minutes, Helge Biörling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Åtvidaberg FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Helge Biörling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eric Dalberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bengt-Åke Björkdal hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Helge Biörling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stig-Åke Fransson's late challenge caught a Skillingsfors FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig-Åke Fransson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Åtvidaberg FF's Stig-Åke Fransson got a free kick in the 99th minute. In the 100th minute, Bengt-Rune Qvarnström made a precise shot to the right of Olov Norberg. Åtvidaberg FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Åtvidaberg FF were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
