Thunraz FC's Peter Malmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Björklund in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ingvar Björklund was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilhelm Vacker in the 56th minute of play forced Karlskoga BF's goalkeeper Stig Billvall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilhelm Vacker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Karlskoga BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ingvar Björklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thunraz FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
