The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Staffanstorp United FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Torgny Vennerdal hit a great ball. Edvard Vestlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arman Brummer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arman Brummer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Staffanstorp United FC's goalkeeper Edvard Vestlund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arman Brummer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ingvar Björklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvard Vestlund having to interfere. Edvard Vestlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arman Brummer, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Björklund in the 19th minute of play forced Staffanstorp United FC's goalkeeper Edvard Vestlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torgny Vennerdal's late challenge caught a Karlskoga BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torgny Vennerdal helped the player get up and apologised. Ingvar Björklund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edvard Vestlund having to make a save. Stig Billvall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Staffanstorp United FC. Alf Ekström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Stig Billvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvard Vestlund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arman Brummer's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Staffanstorp United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Björklund came free, but Edvard Vestlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Staffanstorp United FC's David Jonasson got a free kick in the 35th minute. Alf Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Billvall having to interfere. Jesper Söderberg kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Karlskoga BF's goalkeeper Stig Billvall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alf Ekström. Tor Bodin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Billvall having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Tor Bodin made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Staffanstorp United FC's Tor Bodin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stig Billvall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 52 minutes into the match, Tor Bodin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stig Billvall. Edvard Vestlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Björklund in the 60th minute of play. Tor Bodin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Staffanstorp United FC's Edvard Vestlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Björklund in the 64th minute of play. The referee ignored Staffanstorp United FC's protests and gave Tor Bodin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, Tor Bodin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Staffanstorp United FC's Torgny Vennerdal got a free kick in the 84th minute. Tor Bodin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Karlskoga BF's zone, Tor Bodin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stig Billvall came out of the goal and Tor Bodin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
