After having played for 7 minutes, Pontus Skytt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thunraz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pontus Skytt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vilhelm Vacker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Edvard Vestlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvard Vestlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilhelm Vacker in the 21st minute of the match. Edvard Vestlund made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Pontus Skytt sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgny Vennerdal in the 39th minute of play forced Thunraz FC's goalkeeper Peter Malmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Thunraz FC's zone, Alf Ekström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Malmberg came out of the goal and Alf Ekström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edvard Vestlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilhelm Vacker, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vilhelm Vacker to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Thunraz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tor Bodin came free, but Peter Malmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Malmberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Staffanstorp United FC. Torgny Vennerdal hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. When Pontus Skytt came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Thunraz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pontus Skytt couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Thunraz FC booed when Staffanstorp United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Åke Nykvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alf Ekström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Tor Bodin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Alf Ekström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Staffanstorp United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alf Ekström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
