Kaj Biörkquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Erik Fågel in the 12th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Joakim Grönberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Smycke IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Joakim Grönberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaj Biörkquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henric Vennerkvist in the 18th minute of play forced Smycke IF's goalkeeper Sivert Lönn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Lövestad BF's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Erik Fågel came free, but Kaj Biörkquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lövestad BF's Daniel Carlberg got a free kick in the 28th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Lövestad BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henric Vennerkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kaj Biörkquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joakim Grönberg in the 63rd minute. After 67 played minutes Smycke IF got a freekick which was hit by Joakim Grönberg. Oskar Simonsson made a great header on Lövestad BF's corner, it was just that Smycke IF's Sivert Lönn managed to reach the ball for a save. Henric Vennerkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Sivert Lönn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Jönsätt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kaj Biörkquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Erik Fågel in the 79th minute of play. Kaj Biörkquist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Per-Erik Fågel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 81 minute of play. Joakim Grönberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Kaj Biörkquist made a huge save. Per-Erik Fågel struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. In the 93rd minute Per-Erik Fågel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaj Biörkquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per-Erik Fågel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Kaj Biörkquist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Smycke IF were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
