After 19 played minutes Pallas Styx got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Boklund. After a rather tough play, Pallas Styx's Valentin Björk got a free kick in the 21st minute. Erling Månsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Erik Fågel in the 27th minute of the match. Pallas Styx's Gilbert Kolberg came free and shot a quick shot against goal 30 minutes in the game, fortunately Sivert Lönn had problems saving as it came toward the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gösta Asplund in the 32nd minute of play forced Smycke IF's goalkeeper Sivert Lönn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Gösta Asplund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pallas Styx's supporters rose to their feet, but Gösta Asplund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sivert Lönn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leif Duset hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Dennis Bryngelsson fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Smycke IF's protests and gave Dennis Bryngelsson a yellow card for diving instead. Per-Erik Fågel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erling Månsson having to interfere. Per-Erik Fågel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 61st minute, Per-Erik Fågel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Smycke IF booed when Pallas Styx was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Björk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pallas Styx's Erling Månsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Erik Fågel in the 72nd minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Samuel Boklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilbert Kolberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sivert Lönn having to interfere. Samuel Boklund kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Per-Erik Fågel struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Erling Månsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smycke IF. If Gösta Asplund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Smycke IF's goal looked a bit too open when Gilbert Kolberg came free, but Sivert Lönn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per-Erik Fågel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erling Månsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Per-Erik Fågel slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 93rd minute. Smycke IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
