The referee ignored Kalmar FF's protests and gave Jan-Olof Johnsson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Kalmar FF getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Jan-Olof Johnsson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgny Henriksson in the 12th minute of play forced Kalmar FF's goalkeeper Thor Wickander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Ödmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thor Wickander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Ödmann ran back to his position shaking his head. Kalmar FF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Torgny Henriksson scored to the left of an out of position Thor Wickander, making the score, 1-0. Thor Wickander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torgny Henriksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Kalmar FF's Thor Wickander got control of the ball when Victor Ödmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Skå's Victor Ödmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thor Wickander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Skå's Torgny Henriksson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Per-Arne Lindberg was the one to do the kick off. Thor Wickander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Ödmann in the 59th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Skå's Victor Ödmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thor Wickander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victor Ödmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thor Wickander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
