In the 15thth minute of the game Christian Dahlqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fenerbahce's Ingmar Holmberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Osvald Lindmark's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ingmar Holmberg was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. If Melker Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melker Josefsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nygård IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Håkan Lindström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Fenerbahce's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
