With a couple of smart ball manuevers Melker Wallin in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Börge Strömberg saved Vårgårda IK from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Melker Wallin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Börge Strömberg. That made the score 1-3 in the 56 minute of play. Brastad IFK's Jonas Qvarnström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Arne Haglund in the 63rd minute of play. The Vårgårda IK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Brastad IFK's performance. The match ended with a win for Brastad IFK.
