Manfred Galle struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Elliott Olsman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Odensbacken FK. 4 minutes into the game, Vidar Haström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Djurgårdens IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Odensbacken FK the free kick. In the 5th match minute, Djurgårdens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vidar Haström to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Manfred Galle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elliott Olsman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes, Odensbacken FK's Sven-Åke Linqvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elliott Olsman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Odensbacken FK reached it. In the 12th minute, Mark Haegg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Hjelm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Maximilian Vase had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Djurgårdens IF's Elliott Olsman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Galle in the 20th minute of play. If Manfred Galle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 played minutes Odensbacken FK got a freekick which was hit by Jim Björkdal. Manfred Galle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elliott Olsman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Djurgårdens IF booed when Odensbacken FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Haegg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Djurgårdens IF's Ernst Bålström broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Rune Holmgren came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Djurgårdens IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rune Holmgren couldn't finish the play. Vidar Haström might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Apelqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vidar Haström ran back to his position shaking his head. Dan Hjelm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastian Apelqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After 43 played minutes Djurgårdens IF got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Ståhlberg. In the 45th minute Manfred Galle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elliott Olsman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 minutes of play, Odensbacken FK's Manfred Galle made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elliott Olsman was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manfred Galle to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Odensbacken FK were awarded a corner. Leo Jansson went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 58 minutes, Manfred Galle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Odensbacken FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfred Galle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Apelqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Hjelm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Apelqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Holmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 72nd match minute, Djurgårdens IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vidar Haström to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute of the match, Manfred Galle tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Elliott Olsman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dan Hjelm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Apelqvist having to interfere. Sebastian Apelqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vidar Haström in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Lucas Carlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the match, Odensbacken FK's Leo Jansson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
