The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Richard Häll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. A collision led to Fadel F.C getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Niklas Åström hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Fadel F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Blomqvist came free, but Henrik Borre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt-Åke Sandberg struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Wilhelm Biörnberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fadel F.C. After 40 minutes, Kalle Wall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the David and the Fadel F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes David got a freekick which was hit by Kalle Wall. In the 43rd minute of the match Fadel F.C got a corner. David's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emil Björkman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Emil Björkman made a great header on Fadel F.C's corner, it was just that David's Wilhelm Biörnberg managed to reach the ball for a save. Leif Berglund hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Richard Häll in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilhelm Biörnberg saved David from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt-Åke Sandberg was the one to do the kick off. If Bengt-Åke Sandberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Richard Häll recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niklas Åström kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. If Sven Ström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute.
