With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfons Gadd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 46 minutes into the match, Harry Wennerlund dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of John Åkerberg, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agne Johnsson was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Reine Örnberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfons Gadd. Tugga Svinto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reine Örnberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 64 played minutes FC Totten got a freekick which was hit by Måns Brodin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Wennerlund in the 68th minute of play forced FC Totten's goalkeeper John Åkerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reine Örnberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfons Gadd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. When Agne Johnsson came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the FC Totten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agne Johnsson couldn't finish the play. After 89 played minutes, Tugga Svinto's Gilbert Albom shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper John Åkerberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tugga Svinto reached it. FC Totten's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Totten eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
