Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Utö's Stefan Wallin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Utö booed when Oviken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Åke Viklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles Hedvall scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eric Beck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jens-Åke Viklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Utö's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Åke Viklund came free, but Eric Beck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Oviken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joachim Eriksson to maneuver through the defense. Lennart Svartengren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jens-Åke Viklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Beck having to interfere. Joachim Eriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Eric Beck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dan Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joachim Eriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Nordgren hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Dan Nordström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oviken fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The audience was convinced that Joachim Eriksson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Beck was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Oviken's Charles Hedvall got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Charles Hedvall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Utö's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Nordström came free, but Eric Beck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 42 minutes, Jens-Åke Viklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oviken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Åke Viklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 44 played minutes Oviken got a freekick which was hit by Evert Landin. Inge Söderström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patric Lindberg having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jens-Åke Viklund made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Oviken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Åke Viklund to maneuver through the defense. Utö's Eric Beck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Åke Viklund in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Eriksson in the 69th minute of play forced Utö's goalkeeper Eric Beck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Utö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimmy Bergström to maneuver through the defense. When Stefan Wallin came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Utö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Wallin couldn't finish the play. Lennart Svartengren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eric Beck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Åke Viklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Utö's Eric Beck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Åke Viklund in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the game, Oviken's Jens-Åke Viklund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eric Beck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 92 minutes into the match, Dan Nordström notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Utö's Eric Beck. Eric Beck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Oviken supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Oviken would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
