Spectators: 7246 (Terracing: 5436, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) Bengt Nordström started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a little luck, Okq8 FC's Anders Danielsson got control of the ball when Rickard Tingberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th match minute, Degerfors IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Alströmmer to maneuver through the defense. After 7 minutes of play, Okq8 FC's Bengt Nordström made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernst Delin was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Dahlberg came free, but Ernst Delin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaj Wallman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Anders Danielsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Degerfors IF's Kaj Wallman got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernst Delin came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Okq8 FC's Bengt Nordström. But to his dismay, Bengt Nordström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Okq8 FC's Joel Dahlberg in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Degerfors IF's goalie prevented a goal. In the 38th minute Bengt Nordström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernst Delin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Dahlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ernst Delin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernst Delin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt Nordström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Kaj Wallman made the kick off in the second half. Ernst Delin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Dahlberg in the 58th minute. Ernst Delin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bengt Nordström's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. If Jerry Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Degerfors IF getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Andréas Söderman hit a great ball. With his leg Ernst Delin managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Okq8 FC's Joel Dahlberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Per Bammerman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ernst Delin came out and tried to block the shot, but Per Bammerman slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 77th minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Bengt Nordström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Okq8 FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt Nordström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bengt Nordström got in the 92nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ernst Delin handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Okq8 FC played a much better game than Degerfors IF and deserved their victory. The Degerfors IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
