The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emanuel Ivarsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Einar Hjeltman went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 7 minutes into the match, Säffle FF's goal looked a bit too open when Ola Sefastsson came free, but Börge Uggla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Börje Vennerlund kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emanuel Ivarsson. That made the score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. Emanuel Ivarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Vennerlund in the 13th minute of play. Säffle FF's Börge Uggla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaf Mattsson in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Aron Hök hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the game, Dag Björkdahl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Forsbacka's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Säffle FF the free kick. A collision led to Forsbacka getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Dag Björkdahl hit a great ball. If Ola Sefastsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pär Bergström kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Börje Vennerlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Säffle FF's goal looked a bit too open when Ola Sefastsson came free, but Börge Uggla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hjalmar Melander's late challenge caught a Forsbacka's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hjalmar Melander helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Säffle FF's Hjalmar Melander got a free kick in the 27th minute. If Börje Vennerlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Einar Hjeltman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Ivarsson having to interfere. After 35 played minutes Börje Vennerlund rounded Forsbacka's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. If Ola Sefastsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Säffle FF were furious when Birger Högberg was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Einar Hjeltman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Säffle FF's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaf Mattsson came free, but Börge Uggla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 minutes, Valter Björk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Säffle FF and the Forsbacka players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Forsbacka booed when Säffle FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valter Björk didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaf Mattsson in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Börge Uggla saved Säffle FF from getting behind. After 81 minutes, Matthias Örn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Forsbacka and the Säffle FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Forsbacka getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Matthias Örn hit a great ball. Einar Hjeltman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Ivarsson having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Dag Björkdahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Einar Hjeltman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Emanuel Ivarsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matthias Örn blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Börge Uggla having to make a save. Säffle FF's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
