Stöpen FK's Jerry Svanér played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilgot Nyberg in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Haga AIK's goalkeeper Edvard Ekman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Bengt Wiman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthias Hård's late challenge caught a Stöpen FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthias Hård helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Stöpen FK booed when Haga AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Hård didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute of the match, Henry Kock got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edvard Ekman was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jerry Svanér showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Nyberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Stöpen FK's Jerry Svanér played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Falkrans in the 21st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uno Carlberg during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 22 played minutes Stöpen FK got a freekick which was hit by Uno Carlberg. Jerry Svanér showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Falkrans in the 24th minute of the match. After 25 played minutes Stöpen FK got a freekick which was hit by Erik Magnusson. Vilgot Nyberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Svanér having to interfere. Haga AIK's Edvard Ekman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Wiman in the 40th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josef Tidén got free with Edvard Ekman in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Haga AIK's Edvard Ekman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Haga AIK from getting a goal against them. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Josef Tidén to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Haga AIK's zone, Bengt Wiman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvard Ekman came out of the goal and Bengt Wiman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Wiman in the 53rd minute of play forced Haga AIK's goalkeeper Edvard Ekman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 played minutes, Stöpen FK's Robert Helström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edvard Ekman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stöpen FK reached it. Jon Thedin kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Josef Tidén might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edvard Ekman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Josef Tidén ran back to his position shaking his head. Eric Falkrans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jerry Svanér tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerry Svanér acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 77th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Richard Strömqvist. After 79 played minutes Haga AIK got a freekick which was hit by Alex Kruuse. In the 81stth minute of the game Bengt Wiman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Haga AIK's Edvard Ekman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Falkrans in the 84th minute of play forced Stöpen FK's goalkeeper Jerry Svanér to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Haga AIK's Eric Falkrans in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stöpen FK's goalie prevented a goal. The Haga AIK players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Stöpen FK from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
