Conny Kilberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börge Ahlén in the 29th minute of play. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 56th minute, Emil Håning ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Conny Kilberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Kenny Alstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Kent Bohlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Våxtorp BK's Svante Falck got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Börge Ahlén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elliott Högström kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Arsenal FC's Carl Nordstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Våxtorp BK's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Runberg came free, but Conny Kilberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars-Erik Brander struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Rickard Valrot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Våxtorp BK. 90 minutes into the game, Svante Falck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Våxtorp BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal FC the free kick. The supporters of Arsenal FC booed when Våxtorp BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svante Falck didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th minute, Kenny Alstedt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
