Spectators: 6677 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rickard Kvarnström started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Frändefors Boif was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Valler to maneuver through the defense. Billy Ek took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Per-Olof Söderkvist. Frändefors Boif's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Uno Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Åke Ekgren in the 9th minute of play. Kjell Rönn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uno Nyberg having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kjell Rönn in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Uno Nyberg saved Malmö FF from getting behind. If Simon Helström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uno Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Rönn in the 27th minute of play. Kjell Rönn struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Uno Nyberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frändefors Boif. Per-Olof Söderkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Kvarnström in the 34th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Frändefors Boif got a freekick which was hit by Albin Nyman. Rickard Kvarnström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Simon Helström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malmö FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Helström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per-Olof Söderkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Malmö FF's Uno Nyberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Rönn in the 41st minute of play. Sven-Åke Ekgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Uno Nyberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Sven-Åke Ekgren made the kick off in the second half. Rickard Kvarnström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Per-Olof Söderkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Helström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Olof Söderkvist having to interfere. Arne Valler hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Simon Helström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Per-Olof Söderkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malmö FF's Uno Nyberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Malmö FF from getting a goal against them. In the 81st match minute, Malmö FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pål Johnsson to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Åke Öman in the 82nd minute really tested Uno Nyberg's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Kjell Rönn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Uno Nyberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uno Nyberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Åke Ekgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Rickard Kvarnström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Rune Falkrantz charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bengt-Rune Falkrantz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kjell Rönn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uno Nyberg having to interfere. In the 96th minute Simon Helström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Söderkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Malmö FF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Frändefors Boif had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
