In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Real Madrid. Konrad Häger stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Per-Olof Söderkvist. 2-0. 82 minutes into the match, Kjell Rönn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alf Kruse. Real Madrid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kjell Rönn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After having played for 84 minutes, Karl-Åke Eckegren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Åke Eckegren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frändefors Boif's Per-Olof Söderkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Wennersten in the 86th minute of play. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Frändefors Boif! Konrad Häger shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The audience was convinced that Karl-Åke Eckegren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Per-Olof Söderkvist was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. A collision led to Real Madrid getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Edvin Stålman hit a great ball. Arne Valler's late challenge caught a Real Madrid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arne Valler helped the player get up and apologised. There was no doubt that Real Madrid were the better team. Real Madrid's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
