Eric Melander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Wallman, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Myresjö's Helge Arenstedt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eric Melander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Patrik Wallman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eric Melander was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Ludwig Asklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Myresjö's supporters rose to their feet, but Ludwig Asklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Melander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st match minute, Kalvsvik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaac Algren to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd match minute, Kalvsvik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eddie Alström to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Nils-Emil Öfverman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Melander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Edvin Wallman helped the player get up and apologised. Kalvsvik:s Eric Melander showed great skill when he stopped Nils-Emil Öfverman:s penalty. After the first half Myresjö were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrik Wallman to strike the kick off in the second half. Rune Termander kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Håkan Markusson might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Stolpe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Håkan Markusson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70thth minute of the game Sven-Ove Josefsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Myresjö's Thomas Stolpe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Patrik Wallman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Myresjö's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrik Wallman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eric Melander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Håkan Markusson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Greger Lundkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomas Stolpe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sven-Ove Josefsson's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Thomas Stolpe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Ove Josefsson in the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Ove Josefsson in the 91st minute of play forced Myresjö's goalkeeper Thomas Stolpe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils-Emil Öfverman kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Myresjö walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
