Mikael Apelkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, Söderberga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Åke Bergren came free, but Mikael Apelkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Värmbol were awarded a corner. Elof Andersson went to the cornerflag to take it. Mikael Apelkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Forssberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Söderberga FC's Bo-Erik Beckeman got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Börje Skarkman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute of the match Elof Andersson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mikael Apelkvist skillfully saved the ball. Söderberga FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Elof Andersson scored to the left of an out of position Mikael Apelkvist, making the score, 2-0. If Per Forssberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd match minute, Söderberga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo-Erik Beckeman to maneuver through the defense. Söderberga FC's Mikael Apelkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Samuelsson in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Manfred Samuelsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mikael Apelkvist. The goal made the score 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Värmbol's Jan-Åke Bergren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mikael Apelkvist. That made the score 4-0 after 29 minutes of play. Edward Boklund hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Söderberga FC's Ralf Kullgren got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Mikael Apelkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manfred Samuelsson in the 36th minute. Mikael Apelkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Åke Bergren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan-Åke Bergren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikael Apelkvist having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Mikael Apelkvist came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Värmbol's Manfred Samuelsson. But to his dismay, Manfred Samuelsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Erik Söderman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Mikael Apelkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elof Andersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 minutes of play, Värmbol's Paul Bolander made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mikael Apelkvist was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 63rdth minute of the game Jan-Åke Bergren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Söderberga FC's Mikael Apelkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Paul Bolander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Elof Andersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Värmbol's supporters rose to their feet, but Elof Andersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikael Apelkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Värmbol's Jörgen Håkansson was substituted for Henrik Sjö. Bo-Erik Beckeman hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andréas Tingelholm in the 72nd minute of play forced Värmbol's goalkeeper Marcinho Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Söderberga FC's Mikael Apelkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul Bolander in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Elof Andersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Manfred Samuelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Värmbol's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfred Samuelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikael Apelkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mikael Apelkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Åke Bergren, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Mikael Apelkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elof Andersson went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. Per Forssberg's late challenge caught a Söderberga FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Per Forssberg helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Söderberga FC booed when Värmbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Forssberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute of the match, Andréas Tingelholm tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcinho Cruz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Värmbol had played much better football throughout.
