The supporters of Jackes Yrnallar FF booed when Helgonagatan IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustav Biörnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Helgonagatan IF's zone, Börge Johansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmy Bremming came out of the goal and Börge Johansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Folke Persson came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Helgonagatan IF's Kevin Söderström. But to his dismay, Kevin Söderström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Sverker Ahlin came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Jackes Yrnallar FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sverker Ahlin couldn't finish the play. Jimmy Bremming came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Jackes Yrnallar FF's Sverker Ahlin. But to his dismay, Sverker Ahlin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Edwin Kullander's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Folke Persson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Sverker Ahlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jimmy Bremming tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sverker Ahlin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Jimmy Bremming made a huge save. Edwin Kullander struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Folke Persson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Helgonagatan IF. After 35 played minutes, Helgonagatan IF's Olle Barck shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Folke Persson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Helgonagatan IF reached it. Jackes Yrnallar FF were furious when Edvin Lindgren was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jackes Yrnallar FF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! Jimmy Bremming made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sverker Ahlin in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sverker Ahlin to make the kick off. If Sverker Ahlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Sverker Ahlin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Edwin Kullander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Söderström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Persson having to interfere. In the 70th minute Edwin Kullander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Persson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmy Bremming showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sverker Ahlin in the 74th minute of the match. Helgonagatan IF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Jackes Yrnallar FF's Arvid Jonsson got a free kick in the 88th minute. Edwin Kullander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Persson having to interfere. A hard shot by Olle Barck from long distance, 98 minutes into the match, got Folke Persson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
