Rönnäng FF's Malte Rosendal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Rönnäng FF from getting a goal against them. Karl-Magnus Sundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tage Trillkott having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Rönnäng FF's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell-Arne Nord came free, but Malte Rosendal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birger Ennegren got free with Malte Rosendal in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Malte Rosendal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Birger Ennegren in the 35th minute. Malte Rosendal was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Börje Bäckman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Börje Bäckman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. With a little luck, Rönnäng FF's Malte Rosendal got control of the ball when Nicklas Söderquist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rönnäng FF's Malte Rosendal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Bäckman in the 41st minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Rönnäng FF's Michael Simonsson got a free kick in the 57th minute. Malte Rosendal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Bäckman in the 61st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicklas Söderquist during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 played minutes Tråvad IF got a freekick which was hit by Nicklas Söderquist. Malte Rosendal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Bäckman in the 86th minute of the match. Birger Ennegren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Malte Rosendal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malte Rosendal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Bäckman in the 91st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tråvad IF's zone, Karl-Magnus Sundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tage Trillkott came out of the goal and Karl-Magnus Sundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
