Spectators: 6977 (Terracing: 5200, Seating: 1677, VIP seats: 100) Skepperstad BK's Harry Glanselius started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Skepperstad BK's Yngve Ståhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Löfgren in the 4th minute of play. In the 8th minute of the match Yngve Lenberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yngve Ståhlberg skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jim Brandin during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute, Jim Brandin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ljungskile FK's Evert Lustig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Ljungskile FK from getting a goal against them. Yngve Ståhlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Löfgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evert Lustig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Glanselius in the 19th minute of the match. When Harry Glanselius came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Skepperstad BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry Glanselius couldn't finish the play. Kaj Billock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Evert Lustig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes in the game, Harry Glanselius dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Kaj Billock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harry Glanselius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Evert Lustig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Skepperstad BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaj Billock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kaj Billock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Lustig having to interfere. Thomas Nordström hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roger Löfgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Skepperstad BK booed when Ljungskile FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Ove Ingvall didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Ljungskile FK defense, Harry Glanselius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evert Lustig. The Ljungskile FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evert Lustig should have stopped the shot. Roger Löfgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evert Lustig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harry Glanselius's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Skepperstad BK's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Löfgren came free, but Yngve Ståhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evert Lustig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Glanselius in the 78th minute of play. Roger Löfgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Skepperstad BK's Yngve Ståhlberg got control of the ball when Karl-Ove Ingvall tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl-Ove Ingvall got free with Yngve Ståhlberg in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
