An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Magnus Sundberg in the 38th minute of play forced Ljungskile FK's goalkeeper Evert Lustig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yngve Lenberg charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ljungskile FK reached it. When Karl-Ove Ingvall fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ljungskile FK's protests and gave Karl-Ove Ingvall a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd match minute, Ljungskile FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Ove Ingvall to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ljungskile FK's zone, Karl-Magnus Sundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Lustig came out of the goal and Karl-Magnus Sundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
