In the 8th minute, one of FC X3m:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC X3m. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl-Ove Ingvall got free with David Asplund in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Morgan Sandberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC X3m's David Asplund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save FC X3m from getting a goal against them. Roger Löfgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Asplund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Löfgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Ove Ingvall struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. David Asplund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ljungskile FK. Karl-Ove Ingvall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Ljungskile FK's Roger Löfgren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Asplund. That made the score 2-0 after 38 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Ljungskile FK's Erik Löv got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl-Ove Ingvall got free with David Asplund in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Morgan Sandberg was the one to do the kick off. FC X3m's David Asplund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Ove Ingvall in the 72nd minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Karl-Ove Ingvall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ljungskile FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Ove Ingvall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roger Löfgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Asplund having to make a save. David Asplund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Ove Ingvall in the 82nd minute of play. In the 88th match minute, Ljungskile FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Nordström to maneuver through the defense. Evert Lustig made an important save on a dangerous shot by Morgan Sandberg in the 89th minute. Ljungskile FK's Roger Löfgren got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
