Spectators: 7126 (Terracing: 5454, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After some careless play in the Sandöverken IK defense, Torsten Ivarsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliver Haraldsson. The Sandöverken IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliver Haraldsson should have stopped the shot. Vilgot Björnsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Lilja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Holmberg having to interfere. In the 20th minute of the match Nils Bogren sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rune Holmberg skillfully saved the ball. Vilgot Björnsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rune Holmberg having to make a save. With a little luck, Sandöverken IK's Oliver Haraldsson got control of the ball when Lennart Dahlman tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Lycke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Dahlman to maneuver through the defense. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vilgot Björnsson made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Lennart Dahlman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Haraldsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Vilgot Björnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandöverken IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilgot Björnsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Lilja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rune Holmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilgot Björnsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rune Holmberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilgot Björnsson in the 63rd minute. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Vilgot Björnsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Rune Holmberg to make any attempt to save it. In the 69thth minute of the game Vilgot Björnsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lycke's Rune Holmberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Vilgot Björnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sandöverken IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Vilgot Björnsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Holmberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rune Holmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilgot Björnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Nils Bogren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sandöverken IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lycke the free kick. After 79 played minutes Sandöverken IK got a freekick which was hit by Nils Bogren. Oliver Haraldsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörgen Hedkvist in the 80th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Torsten Ivarsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oliver Haraldsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Lycke's zone, Daniel Lilja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Holmberg came out of the goal and Daniel Lilja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nils Bogren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Holmberg having to interfere.
