Henry Skoog stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Holger Mårtensson's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Jan Browald managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Browald was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Mickelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vilhelm Boman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Henry Skoog made a huge save. In the 19th minute, Niclas Sundström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Vilhelm Boman came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Åsarna FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vilhelm Boman couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute, Egon Telin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 minutes, Robin Rudberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åsarna FK and the Manchester United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 27 played minutes Åsarna FK got a freekick which was hit by Robin Rudberg. Philip Mickelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Browald, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 1-0 became the score in the 38th minute when Holger Mårtensson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Nils-Erik Wall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Åsarna FK's Philip Mickelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Browald in the 48th minute of play.

Holger Mårtensson scored 2-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henry Skoog, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ola Kjellbom took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Henry Skoog. Manchester United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Mårtensson in the 60th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Henry Skoog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Vilhelm Boman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Skoog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niclas Sundström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Mickelsson having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Holger Mårtensson came free, but Henry Skoog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, Åsarna FK's Holger Mårtensson made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Skoog was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Manchester United getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Björn Ahlroht hit a great ball.
