The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Thidén couldn't finish the play. Rasmus Mattsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Thidén in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Bänka Baggio BK's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Thidén came free, but Rasmus Mattsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 minutes of play, Ödåkra RK's Cris Vieri made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rasmus Mattsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leo Ström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ödåkra RK booed when Bänka Baggio BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Johnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Karlsson struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Rasmus Mattsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ödåkra RK. 35 minutes into the game, Viktor Lövskog cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sebastian Kuszczak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Michael Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Rasmus Mattsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aron Lilja was the one to do the kick off. Sebastian Kuszczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Lilja in the 52nd minute of play. Ödåkra RK's Charles Thidén got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Charles Thidén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles Thidén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance. 89 minutes in the game, Michael Karlsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rasmus Mattsson having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ödåkra RK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bänka Baggio BK.
