But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincent Bergström couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mårten Smedfeldt in the 9th minute of play forced Stjärnhov IF's goalkeeper Tomas Wallman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calle Andersson in the 12th minute of play forced Nämdö's goalkeeper Gert Stålman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mårten Smedfeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Tomas Wallman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reine Mattsson kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Johannes Joensson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gert Stålman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gert Stålman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredrik Liljeström, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Håkan Norberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stjärnhov IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Håkan Norberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gert Stålman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Wallman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Pihlwall in the 31st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kjell Fogel during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Kjell Fogel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mårten Smedfeldt came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Nämdö fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mårten Smedfeldt couldn't finish the play. Nämdö's Gert Stålman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Fogel in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Stjärnhov IF booed when Nämdö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josef Pihlwall didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Håkan Norberg made a precise shot to the right of Gert Stålman. Nämdö's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. With a little luck, Nämdö's Gert Stålman got control of the ball when Calle Andersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Håkan Norberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gert Stålman. Nämdö's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Håkan Norberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mårten Smedfeldt to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Håkan Norberg in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gert Stålman saved Nämdö from getting behind. Tomas Wallman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvin Jelm in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Nämdö were awarded a corner. Elias Löv went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Elias Löv got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomas Wallman quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 65 played minutes Nämdö got a freekick which was hit by Morgan Högberg. In the 68th minute, Morgan Högberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mårten Smedfeldt scored 2-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomas Wallman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th minute, Kjell Fogel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 played minutes Nämdö got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Brovall. 79 minutes into the game, Vincent Bergström recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tomas Wallman. Vincent Bergström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Josef Pihlwall's late challenge caught a Stjärnhov IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josef Pihlwall helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Nämdö getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Josef Pihlwall hit a great ball. Gert Stålman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrik Liljeström in the 83rd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nämdö players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stjärnhov IF.
