The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 minutes, Vilhelm Skoglund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the gr0nsvart gbg and the Jonsered United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Vilhelm Skoglund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute, Gilbert Lång got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Göran Bure fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Blom having to interfere. Jonas Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Bure, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Jonas Blom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Bure in the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Olov Hurtig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute of the match gr0nsvart gbg got a corner. Jonsered United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elof Grönlund ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led gr0nsvart gbg's Elof Grönlund to fire away a dangerous shot which Dag Mattsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Vilhelm Åhman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dag Mattsson having to interfere. Per-Oskar Bolin took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dag Mattsson. Dag Mattsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jonas Blom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Bure in the 33rd minute of the match. Jonas Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Lång, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Per-Oskar Bolin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. gr0nsvart gbg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per-Oskar Bolin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Karl-Ove Svanér fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jonsered United's protests and gave Karl-Ove Svanér a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Jonsered United's Karl-Ove Svanér got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute of the match gr0nsvart gbg got a corner. Jonsered United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elof Grönlund ran over to the corner to take the kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göran Bure to make the kick off. Dag Mattsson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 51st minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Per-Oskar Bolin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Jonsered United getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Karl-Ove Svanér hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, gr0nsvart gbg's Elof Grönlund tried to score from far away in the 62nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 68th play minute Vilhelm Åhman came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dag Mattsson. 1-3. A collision led to gr0nsvart gbg getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Elof Grönlund hit a great ball. If Gilbert Lång had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Göran Bure's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Blom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Jonsered United's Göran Bure got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 90th minute, one of gr0nsvart gbg:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for gr0nsvart gbg. Alfred Vestlund scored 2-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonas Blom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Vilhelm Åhman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 98thth minute of the game Per-Oskar Bolin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jonsered United's Dag Mattsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. gr0nsvart gbg walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
