Spectators: 6500 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute, Charles Hafström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Birka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Kumla's zone, Maximilian Skoglund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gösta Matsson came out of the goal and Maximilian Skoglund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 9 minutes, Robert Wallmark managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Kumla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Wallmark was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ralf Lidström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ralf Snäll struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Jan Abelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Kumla. With a little luck, IFK Kumla's Gösta Matsson got control of the ball when Per-Åke Giöck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jan Abelsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robert Wallmark went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Stig Klementsson charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stig Klementsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stig Klementsson hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Robert Wallmark managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Kumla's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Wallmark was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Abelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ralf Snäll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Abelsson having to interfere. IFK Kumla's Ralf Snäll got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stig-Ove Ånger struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Jan Abelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Kumla. Ralf Lidström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the FC Birka defense, Robert Wallmark kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Abelsson. The FC Birka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Abelsson should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Robert Wallmark made the kick off in the second half. Ralf Lidström struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Jan Abelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IFK Kumla. When Ralf Lidström came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the IFK Kumla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ralf Lidström couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute Ralf Snäll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Abelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th match minute, IFK Kumla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Pihlwall to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute of the match Stig Tinglöf sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gösta Matsson skillfully saved the ball. In the 79th minute, Robert Wallmark fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jan Abelsson, passed just outside the right post. Ralf Snäll fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Abelsson having to interfere. After having played for 83 minutes, Robert Wallmark managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jan Abelsson didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 95th minute, which inside left pole to 1-5. IFK Kumla's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
