With his leg Valdemar Dusett managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Fatburen IF's Tomas Lundhberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Äppelbo FK's goalkeeper Valdemar Dusett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Lundhberg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Valdemar Dusett 16 minutes into the match. After 24 minutes, Kennet Wallin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fatburen IF and the Äppelbo FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Fatburen IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kennet Wallin to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Ernst Nilsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Äppelbo FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some careless play in the Äppelbo FK defense, Tomas Lundhberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdemar Dusett. The Äppelbo FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdemar Dusett should have stopped the shot. Valdemar Dusett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alf Eliasson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 36 minute of play. Valdemar Dusett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Eliasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alf Eliasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Dusett having to interfere. Calle Vidman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Tommy Ekrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Rune Hagström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fatburen IF and the Äppelbo FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 46 played minutes Fatburen IF got a freekick which was hit by Rune Hagström. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alf Eliasson made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alf Eliasson in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdemar Dusett saved Äppelbo FK from getting behind. Tomas Lundhberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Herbert Torstensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Äppelbo FK's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Lundhberg came free, but Valdemar Dusett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fatburen IF's Joel Christoffersson got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 68 minutes into the match, Fatburen IF's Tomas Lundhberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdemar Dusett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alf Eliasson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdemar Dusett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Tomas Lundhberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Dusett having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Alf Eliasson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdemar Dusett was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Fatburen IF's Tomas Lundhberg got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fatburen IF's Tommy Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calle Vidman in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Tomas Lundhberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Dusett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alf Eliasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alf Eliasson took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdemar Dusett. Valdemar Dusett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Alf Eliasson struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Valdemar Dusett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fatburen IF. If Alf Eliasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fatburen IF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
