The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfred Carlssons short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Aleksander Vedholm to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sverker Tunström during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Sverker Tunström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfred Carlsson in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aleksander Vedholm, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 35th play minute Anders Skräddare came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aleksander Vedholm. 2-0. Väröbacka RK's Aleksander Vedholm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Väröbacka RK from getting a goal against them. Vimmerby's Rutger Skytt got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfred Carlsson to make the kick off. Aleksander Vedholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Carlsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rutger Skytt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Aleksander Vedholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Alfred Carlsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfred Carlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rutger Skytt might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aleksander Vedholm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rutger Skytt ran back to his position shaking his head.
