Spectators: 6691 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 2) Ulf Ferm started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rdth minute of the game Douglas Palmquist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gullringen's Birger Böcklund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Kjell Svensson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gullringen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oljerikets gubbar IF the free kick. After 5 played minutes Gullringen got a freekick which was hit by Kjell Svensson. Birger Böcklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Ferm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gullringen's Sven-Åke Säfström got a free kick in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gullringen's zone, Douglas Palmquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birger Böcklund came out of the goal and Douglas Palmquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the game, Douglas Palmquist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Birger Böcklund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douglas Palmquist scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Birger Böcklund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute Kjell Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Nordström kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 44th minute, one of Oljerikets gubbar IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Oljerikets gubbar IF. When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, Gullringen's Elias Kellberg got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Oliver Kahn.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kjell Svensson made a kick off. Douglas Palmquist was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Kjell Svensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Oljerikets gubbar IF's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Berg came free, but Oliver Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oljerikets gubbar IF's goalkeeper Oliver Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Douglas Palmquists short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Birger Böcklund to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Gullringen's zone, Douglas Palmquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birger Böcklund came out of the goal and Douglas Palmquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven-Åke Säfström hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Håkan Sandwall charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Håkan Sandwall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gullringen getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Håkan Sandwall hit a great ball. The Oljerikets gubbar IF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
