In the 5th minute, Håkan Sandwall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Hellström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell Svensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Victor Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Håkan Sandwall fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gullringen's protests and gave Håkan Sandwall a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gullringen's Håkan Sandwall got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Valter Björnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Gullringen getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Viggo Lagerberg hit a great ball. When Jonathan Trillkott came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Fegen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Trillkott couldn't finish the play. Bengt-Arne Carlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Birger Böcklund was a little too slow when Bengt-Arne Carlberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-0. Bengt-Arne Carlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Böcklund having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kjell Svensson made a kick off. Victor Berg succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 56th playminute. In the 58th minute, Håkan Sandwall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valter Björnberg hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Jonathan Trillkott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Böcklund having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kasper Svanér during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kasper Svanér kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Bengt-Arne Carlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Böcklund having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Trillkott in the 70th minute of play forced Gullringen's goalkeeper Birger Böcklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gullringen's Birger Böcklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Arne Carlberg in the 73rd minute of play. If Bengt-Arne Carlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Fegen's Jonathan Trillkott sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Birger Böcklund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fegen's Jonathan Trillkott got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Axel Hellgren kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Victor Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Hellström having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Fegen's goalkeeper Dan Hellström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Berg. If Victor Berg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Hellström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Svensson in the 96th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
