Fredric Åkesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Gunnarsson having to interfere. Roy Hydén blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonatan Gunnarsson having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Sälen's zone, Fredric Åkesson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonatan Gunnarsson came out of the goal and Fredric Åkesson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Ekerot in the 32nd minute of play forced YNWA FC's goalkeeper Gottfrid Sandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robin Ekerot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olov Danielsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olov Danielsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gottfrid Sandberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Sälen. Sverker Backman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gottfrid Sandberg. 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robin Ekerot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gottfrid Sandberg made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Olov Danielsson sent off a good shot on target. If Roy Hydén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. After 62 played minutes Robin Ekerot could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 0-2 into the left cross. After 65 played minutes Sälen got a freekick which was hit by Bo-Erik Helberg. Jonatan Gunnarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredric Åkesson in the 69th minute of play. Fredric Åkesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olov Danielsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Gottfrid Sandberg made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Robin Ekerot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sälen's supporters rose to their feet, but Robin Ekerot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gottfrid Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonatan Gunnarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Hydén in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Robin Ekerot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Sälen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than YNWA FC throughout the match.
