Kåre Strandberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kåre Strandbergs short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Michael Lindgren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Michael Lindgren made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Kåre Strandberg sent off a good shot on target. Jan Vennersten might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bertil Östman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Vennersten ran back to his position shaking his head. Sverker Erserman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bertil Östman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Dahlqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Sverker Erserman notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of SkåneFrakt's Michael Lindgren. Michael Lindgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the game, Jonatan Söderberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ekeby RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SkåneFrakt the free kick. A collision led to Ekeby RK getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Jonatan Söderberg hit a great ball. Emanuel Dahlqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kåre Strandberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Sverker Erserman made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Sverker Erserman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ekeby RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sverker Erserman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Lindgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind SkåneFrakt's goalkeeper Michael Lindgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sverker Erserman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Michael Lindgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sverker Erserman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Lindgren having to interfere. Sverker Erserman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SkåneFrakt's Håkan Lindström got a free kick in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, Ekeby RK's Ulf Finsberg got a free kick in the 78th minute. Lucas Strömqvist's late challenge caught a SkåneFrakt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Strömqvist helped the player get up and apologised. Lucas Strömqvist hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Timmy Bergdal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Calle Nordström was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Michael Lindgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sverker Erserman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sverker Erserman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
