The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Georg Morat to strike the kick off in the second half. When AIK's Jens Sundberg in 55 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Michael Olsmann guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Jens Sundberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Georg Morat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thor Britz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AIK's Mathias Hellström suffered a sore thigh after 74 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thomas Wållander during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonas Kellman's late challenge caught a FC Widén's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Kellman helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AIK getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Jens Sundberg hit a great ball. When the match was over AIK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Widén throughout the match.
