Emil Wassenius kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When Magne Hård came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Yxlan IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magne Hård couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronny Blomberg got free with Karl-Oskar Billström in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 9 minutes into the match, Yxlan IK's August Helberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Oskar Billström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yxlan IK's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Wennerqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andy Benett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell-Arne Wennerqvist having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Emil Wassenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV Darmstadt 98's supporters rose to their feet, but Emil Wassenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjell-Arne Wennerqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the match, Yxlan IK's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Benett came free, but Kjell-Arne Wennerqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd match minute, SV Darmstadt 98 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Benett to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Andy Benett managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV Darmstadt 98's supporters rose to their feet, but Andy Benett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. SV Darmstadt 98's Karl-Oskar Billström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magne Hård in the 47th minute of play.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Benett in the 51st minute of play forced Yxlan IK's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Wennerqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes into the match, SV Darmstadt 98's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Blomberg came free, but Karl-Oskar Billström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Richard Forsell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SV Darmstadt 98's Karl-Oskar Billström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magne Hård in the 58th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Kjell-Arne Wennerqvist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 64th minute, Johannes Hägert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Joel Lundkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronny Blomberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Yxlan IK's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Benett came free, but Kjell-Arne Wennerqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl-Oskar Billström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Magne Hård went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 88 played minutes SV Darmstadt 98 got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Hultin. Magne Hård received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Karl-Oskar Billström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Yxlan IK's Kjell-Arne Wennerqvist got control of the ball when Aleksander Galle tried to sneak it across the goal line.
