Västra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven Ahlberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Holmgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Västra FC's Sven Ahlberg got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias Vassenius in the 22nd minute of play forced Västra FC's goalkeeper Frank Danielsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thor Axelsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frank Danielsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

Tomas Skålberg kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When the match had been going on for 62 minutes Tomas Mattsson shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Edgar Holmgren when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Västra FC's Hans Högström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Holmgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mattias Vassenius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Frank Danielsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thor Axelsson got free with Frank Danielsson in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st match minute, Västra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olov Ahlstedt to maneuver through the defense. Thor Axelsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thor Axelsson struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Frank Danielsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Höljes BK. Höljes BK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
