Olov Ahlstedt hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. When Andreas Wästerberg came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Bispgården IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andreas Wästerberg couldn't finish the play. Andreas Wästerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Wästerberg in the 26th minute of play forced Västra FC's goalkeeper Frank Danielsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olov Ahlstedt during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bispgården IF booed when Västra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olov Ahlstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Wästerberg in the 29th minute of play forced Västra FC's goalkeeper Frank Danielsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Västra FC's zone, Karl Bank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Danielsson came out of the goal and Karl Bank tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven Ahlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Sven-Ove Arenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 52nd match minute, Bispgården IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Friberger to maneuver through the defense. After 54 played minutes Andreas Wästerberg rounded Västra FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. After 60 played minutes Bispgården IF got a freekick which was hit by Gert Friberger. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hans Högström in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Ove Arenius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sven Ahlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Sven-Ove Arenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bispgården IF's Andreas Wästerberg got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Västra FC's Sten Alstedt got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Bengt-Rune Berggren was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. Bispgården IF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Bengt-Rune Berggren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Frank Danielsson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 93rd minute, Bengt-Rune Berggren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frank Danielsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Wästerberg in the 95th minute of play. The Bispgården IF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
